Mon April 11 - Weekend Recap!

Weekend recap! Another cool April weekend.

The good news is that Lake Ontario is warming up some more, and with that we saw more Salmon being caught. Jordan to Port Weller seemed to be the better areas.10-30 FOW. As always though, remember that these locations get change quickly as the water moves.

Mostly stickbaits off planer boards continue to work well. Top producers are Yaleye Mooneyes, Bomber Long A's & Live Target Smelt. Some on spoons too. Michigan Stinger & Dreamweaver Super Slims.

Browns being caught too (and some big ones!) 7-15 FOW. Top baits : Bay Rats, jointed Rapala's, Bomber Long A's & Mooneyes. Small spoons off short lead cores, small divers & stretched off shallow riggers.

A number of Coho Salmon showing up as well! Sounds it will be another good season for those tasty scrappy fish!

On the Niagara River the Steelhead fishing is getting good! Roe, beads and yarn as usual. Fishing might be getting a bit tough as the Smelt begin to run.

Shore anglers, good fishing for Browns & Lakers continues along the shoreline when the right conditions set things up.

Catfish is getting good too at all the usual places. Great to see some more nice entries for the #catfishcapture!

Busy week at the shop as we continue to receive new stuff. We'll try to keep you updated on the new goodies as well as the fishing reports as we head into a long weekend.

Have a good week everyone. We will try to provide another update at the end of the week.
