Fishing Report Update 
April 29

Well as we are about to roll into May, there are a lot of great fishing opportunities to be had now & coming up.

Of course Lake Ontario Salmon fishing is hitting its spring peak. Good action is still happening in approximately 30-50 fow out of Grimsby,  Jordan,  Port Dalhousie and towards the Niagara River but things will be changing quickly as the water warms & the fish push out deeper. A mix of spoons & stick baits is still working well but have your herring strips & meat rigs ready, also your flashers & flies.

We soon should see really good Coho action soon too. Hot colored spoons & mini flasher/flies are a must for these.

On Lake Erie in NY waters you can go get into some really good Smallmouth action too now. Jigging spoons, drop shotting & tube jigs will do well.

The Perch fishing is also getting good off Crystal Beach and Port Colborne & Lake Simcoe. 
For shore anglers now is the time to have fun getting into catfish   carp, sheepshead,  crappies & more. Get out and explore areas like Port Dalhousie harbour,  Jordan Harbour   Hamilton harbour,  & the Grand River. 

Nearly every weekend now for the next 2 months different seasons for different species are opening up. This weekend Walleye & Pike open in FMZ 14 & 20
