Jul 5 - Fishing Report Update
Lake Erie Walleye is just simply great right now across the lake at every port.
There are schools of Walleye from the mouth of the Niagara River to Long Point & of course further west.
It can vary a little but 30-40 FOW seems to be very consistent. There are fish coming from deeper water too.
Presentations can vary too. We suggest using what you are most comfortable with.
Crankbaits, spoons & worm harnesses all are performing well. Choose your colors based on the day. (Ex. Generally bright patterns on bright days, dark colors when there's less sunlight)
Lake Ontario Salmon fishing has seen some good action again lately!
On the weekend some nice ones were caught along the north shore including a 31.08 lbr caught by Mark Bonello which currently leads the Great Ontario Salmon Derby .
Bluffers, Whitby & Newcastle are all representing well on the leaderboard so far.
On the south shore we are seeing some more Salmon caught recently and should continue to improve.
Bass Season is open on Lake Erie now. It's a good time to get em in shallow but be mindful of closed sanctuary areas in effect for the next couple weeks.
For the most part it looks like some good weather for the next couple weeks
