FISHING REPORT UPDATE - DECEMBER 5

FISHING REPORT UPDATE - DECEMBER 5

First week of December and for both shore & boat anglers, very good fishing is still being had in some places!.

The Niagara River & the mouth / Bar continue to produce great fishing. Lots of Brown trout & rainbow Trout (Steelhead) in the river. 3 way rigs with roe bags, beads, yarn (egg flies) & streamers doing very well.

At the mouth / Bar, lots of Lake trout (now back in open season) Brown Trout , Walleye and even Chinook Salon are being caught. Best presentations are jigging spoons, buck tail jigs and jig with 3.5"-4.5" plastics. 3/4oz - 1oz are the best sizes for all of those.

Smallmouth Bass Season on the Canadian side of Lake Erie is now closed, but if you have a NY license, you may fish in NY waters. Fishing has been great. Blade baits & jigging spoons working best.

Port Dalhousie harbour also has been very good lately for Browns & rainbows with 3 way rigs.

On nice days, you can also cast spoons along the Lake Ontario like you would in early spring & you can connect with Browns, Lakers & rainbows if you time it right!

Waiting patiently for safe ice to arrive soon!
