Weekend Recap Fishing Report June 19

Weekend recap fishing report June 19 Decent weather for most of the weekend. Hope the Father's enjoyed their day on Sunday. Let's get to the fishing.

On Lake Ontario, The Silver Salmon Challenge is on now and we're seeing some good fish hitting the leaderboard already, including 2 of our regular customers in the top 3 currently. We'll definitely give kudos to Mike Anderson on the giant 34lbr he caught off Newcastle on Saturday. 👍

You can keep up with the SSC leader board here at this link https://silversalmonchallenge.com/

As we try to keep up with Lake Ontario fishing reports through the summer we understand the north shore from the GTA area moving east to the Cobourg area is generally going to have lots of traffic and will more often produce better quality fish. For the purpose of continuing to help our local anglers we will focus mostly on what's happening from Niagara- Bronte area. That being said, there was good local fishing to be had in 80-150. Still lots of Lakers but many Kings, Coho and Rainbows around too. Fish seem to up a little higher in the water now.

Special congrats to team Royal Flush who won the King Of Kings Shootout in Scarborough on Saturday.

Forecast says a few days of east winds for us this week unfortunately. Good news is that it often pushes some fish down our way so we'll see how that sets things up.

On Lake Erie, things continue to look great!

Walley fishing is getting better every week. Good numbers of fish being caught off-shore in the Nanticoke area and its getting better as you move further East down the Lake. Nice fish still being caught along the structure in shallow. Keep in mind you will be battling a lot of Sheephead too!

Bass season kicks off on Lake Erie too this Saturday on lake Erie and the rest of southern Ontario.

Looks like good bass fishing was had in other zones that opened this past weekend (Quinte, Kawarthas, etc)

Come on & by we'll be happy to help you!
